What's new in November


Create new records more efficiently

We’ve converted the Quick Add New Contact modal into its own page. The page has the same look and feel as the modal, but its wider layout reduces scrolling and makes it easier for you to fill out all data fields efficiently.

You can access the Quick Add New Contact page that same way as you currently access the modal, either from the sidebar, Main Menu, or omnisearch bar.

Save time and reduce errors with the QuickBooks integration

With the new QuickBooks Disbursements Integration, you can transfer important disbursement data from QuickBooks Online into NGP including:

• Purchases
• Bills and bill payments
• Credit card items and payments
• H4, H6, and Schedule L items

Updated retry schedules for weekly and annual recurring gifts

We’ve adjusted how frequently NGP VAN will attempt to process a recurring commitment before it’s marked as failed.

For weekly commitments, we will make 6 total attempts before a commitment is marked as Inactive--Failed on the contact record.

For annual commitments, we will make 4 retry attempts, either five or ten days apart, before it's considered failed.

Important Reminders


NGP VAN is closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 24th, but we will be actively monitoring database activity and any attempts to contact us on those days in case of an emergency. We will also be on-call throughout Thanksgiving weekend, November 25th-27th, and will be actively monitoring support channels for mission-critical tickets.


The next round of routine server maintenance will occur on December 17th-18th between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM Eastern. You may experience approximately 10 to 15 minutes of degraded system performance during this period. While the interruption is typically limited to a quarter of an hour, we may need up to a full hour to account for contingencies.
