** Hi
Friend of Trevor,
------------------------------------------------------------

“I was really lucky to always have affirming parents. It’s like I won the parent lottery.” That’s how Skyler, 14, describes her family, Andrew and Chelsea.

Please make your gift to The Trevor Project right now. ([link removed]) With your support, LGBTQ young people who don’t have families like Skyler’s — and are struggling with anxiety, depression, and stress — will be a call, text, or chat away from Trevor's suicide prevention and mental health services.

One in five — 20% — transgender and nonbinary young people attempted suicide this past year. But when an LGBTQ young person has one affirming adult in their life, it can decrease their risk of attempting suicide by 40%.

That’s why Skyler and Andrew work with Trevor to spread the message of the life-saving importance of family acceptance. “It’s not because they hate themselves. It's because of a lack of affirmation. It's something that should be received, but it’s not,” Andrew said.

“That's our PSA. Just continued affirmation. That's the most rudimentary, easiest thing,” Andrew continued. Skyler agreed: “The moral of the story is: radiate unconditional love and acceptance.”

Trevor’s trained counselors provide that unconditional love and acceptance, thanks to the generosity of our community — of which you are an integral part! Join us today with your best gift. ([link removed])

Together we’ll create a welcoming world for Skyler and every LGBTQ young person — and support loving families like Andrew and Chelsea.

In partnership and with gratitude,
