Following the excitement, anticipation and tallying of last week’s midterm races, Poynter paused to celebrate journalism’s role in democracy. At the Bowtie Ball on Saturday, we honored Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein ([link removed]) with Poynter Medals for Lifetime Achievement. This free online group seminar will help journalists at any stage in their career develop story ideas to better cover gun violence and the gun debate in their communities.
Areas of focus include: the latest proposals in Washington, D.C., measuring the effectiveness of “red flag” laws, and tips from researchers studying gun issues as well as local and national reporters covering the gun beat.
