Today is National Philanthropy Day, friend, and I’m reaching out to share an important opportunity to create a lasting environmental legacy.

On Giving Tuesday two weeks from today, millions of people worldwide join a global movement to financially power organizations seeking to improve their communities.

It has been a landmark year for climate action in California, between securing a $54 billion climate budget and passing critical climate legislation like phasing out oil drilling next to homes and schools.

And by playing a role in those wins, California Environmental Voters Education Fund has had a landmark year too, from setting a bold agenda with our Policy Roadmap to building on-the-ground power with the launch of our youth Ambassadors program to ensuring the environment was prioritized in the redistricting process.

But we are a small nonprofit that relies on the generosity of members like you to power our efforts to solve the climate crisis, advance justice, and create a roadmap for global action.

So we’ve set a goal of securing 100 donations by Giving Tuesday to help fund our work for 2023. Please, can you include the Ed Fund in your Giving Tuesday plans by making a tax-deductible gift in the next two weeks? [link removed]

I’ll be blunt, friend: This is the most important fundraising event of the year for our Education Fund. That’s why we’re getting started early.

The financial support generated during Giving Tuesday creates a critical foundation for our work going into the new year.

And the stakes for 2030 have never been higher. We’re one year closer to the 2030 deadline scientists have given us to make the necessary investments to avoid climate catastrophe. We have an almost entirely new Legislature in Sacramento and a long list of priorities.

I know we can meet that 2030 deadline, because we have the solutions to solve the climate crisis — and we have this grassroots movement of climate champions like you behind us, friend.

Our movement is built upon a commitment that each and every one of us share to protect our planet from the devastating effects of the climate crisis. Our success depends on the actions our community takes, such as stepping forward with a financial commitment for Giving Tuesday this month.

Help us meet our Giving Tuesday fundraising goal to fund our 2023 work by making a 100% tax-deductible gift today >> [link removed]

Thank you so much for your support and commitment to protecting our environment and fighting to solve the climate crisis.
