Dear John,
Whether you take long trips to the Boundary Waters, short weekends to Ely, or care about protecting our forests to help combat climate change, we can agree that the Wilderness is a place of healing for many.

The Boundary Waters is a place where we can find peace and solitude and reconnect with nature.
The Boundary Waters is a refuge for many of us. It slows down the rhythm of our busy modern lives, and allows us to pay attention to the present moment. One can find peace in chopping wood, portaging, paddling calm lakes, sitting on a rock enjoying my coffee, or hearing the call of the loon.

The real reason I’m emailing you is that I’ve just landed in Washington, DC. This week our team is meeting with members of Congress to support permanent protection for the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW).

As the Creative Content Manager for the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters, I know that telling stories is one of the most effective ways to showcase the transformative experiences we have in the Wilderness. It's a way for us to connect, inspire, and change the hearts and minds of decision makers.
That’s why we’ve brought dozens of folks, including business owners, elected officials, and other Wilderness advocates, to come out and tell their stories in the Nation’s capital and show our leaders why must protect the Boundary Waters.
Your voice and your story is just as important. We need support from advocates like you to keep doing this work. Please consider making a gift for Give to the Max Day today. When you make a gift between NOW and Thursday, your donation will be automatically DOUBLED. [[link removed]]
