Dear John,
Whether you take long trips to the Boundary Waters, take short weekends to Ely, or care about protecting our forests to help combat climate change, we can agree that the Wilderness is a place of healing for many.
The Boundary Waters is a refuge for many of us. It slows down the rhythm of our busy modern lives and allows us to pay attention to the present moment. I can find peace in chopping wood, portaging, paddling calm lakes, sitting on a rock enjoying my coffee, or hearing the call of the loon. |
