John,
While the first results from the midterm elections are trickling in, the reality is that we may not have the full picture for a few days – or even a few weeks.
So here’s something you can do while you’re waiting: Donate to keep the NDRC’s work to defend democracy going.

Why am I asking on the evening of Election Day? Because the work doesn’t stop today. You could even say it begins anew.
As A.G. Holder wrote, “If MAGA Republicans have shown us anything, it’s that they’re committed to dismantling our democracy until only one party – theirs – can win elections.” After today, the GOP will consolidate their wins and push even harder for permanent minority rule. It’ll be our duty to keep pushing back.
Over the next few days, we’ll share more about how we plan to do that. But you can give us a head start on the work by making a donation today: >> [link removed]
President Obama said recently that “One of the things we learned over the last six years is that democracy is not self-executing.” He added: “Democracy is fragile. You have to tend to it, you have to fight for it.”
This community has given us the resources to tend to our democracy in this election cycle, and I can’t thank you enough. I know we left it all on the field today.
But this will certainly be a multi-year effort – and I hope the NDRC can continue to count on your support.
