What we mean when we say “every single one”…

** Friend,
------------------------------------------------------------

Every single LGBTQ young person deserves to feel accepted and loved — every single one. Unfortunately, not all of them do. According to our 2022 survey, 45% of LGBTQ youth seriously considered attempting suicide in the past year, with nearly 1 in 5 transgender and nonbinary youth attempting suicide.

But the power of love, affirmation, and community is strong: Just one accepting adult can reduce the likelihood of LGBTQ youth attempting suicide by 40%.

P.S. In our latest email to you on Sunday, we made a mistake when talking about the date Obergefell vs. Hodges was decided. The Supreme Court ruled on June 26, 2015 that the fundamental right to marriage is guaranteed to same-gender partners, not on June 15 as previously stated. We apologize for our error and any confusion.
