This weekend is essential for campaigns across the country, as many experts say that the fate of Congress may come down to turnout in a few key races.

From Val Demings working to flip Florida’s senate seat blue to my friend Jackie Gordon who would be the first Black woman elected to the New York delegation outside of New York City, we know that to win, we need to turn out voters.

We’re running out of time to make an impact on these key races, and we’re running out of time to reach voters. This may be one of the most consequential elections of our lifetimes, with the fate of our democracy hanging in the balance. We can’t afford to take any chances in this final stretch.

Here in Brooklyn, I’m running ads and reaching out to voters about making a plan to vote and ensuring their voices are heard. I’m especially focused on turning out young people who will be the most affected if we let Republicans flip the House and halt our economic recovery and slash environmental protections.
