Hold Up: Why Does My TP Have A Scalloped Edge? Does Yours?
[[link removed]]
Today, a mystery grips Scary Mommy. An unnamed editor recently reached over to
the toilet paper roll and discovered an expectedly fancy touch: the perforations
between sheets were now scalloped, rather than straight lines. “Her mind reeled:
Is this a thing? And further, is there any actual utility to this design change?
Does it, like, increase absorbency, or reduce the roll's carbon footprint

or something? That is, does it have a point beyond mildly confusing people as
they wipe?” writes Katie Arnold-Ratliff, who went digging at the editor's
request.
Give it a read to learn what she found… and laugh your — ahem — butt off, also.
Kelly Faircloth, Executive Editor

My Kids Are Lovers Of Free Stuff, Just Like Me
[[link removed]]
We all know what they say about apples and trees, but that doesn’t make it any
less funny when suddenly, your kids take after you in some wildly specific and
hilarious way. For Samm Davidson, it was seeing their love of free stuff: “It
started after dinner, about an hour after the ‘free stuff’ had been put out. My
seven-year-old son and four-year-daughter were riding their bikes and suddenly I
heard them sprinting into the house. ‘Mom!’ my son screamed, ‘there is a free
store down the street! They said I can even take the table!’” Please enjoy.
