the Civil Rights Memorial Center in Montgomery, Alabama, for a special
conversation about his new book, "My Boy Will Die of Sorrow: A

family separations at the border do to families, and how the act of
separation itself adds another layer to the immigrant identity. Watch

Olivares directs the Immigrant Justice Project
[link removed]

at the SPLC. He immigrated to the United States from Mexico as a
teenager and was the first in his family to attend college.

The event will be hosted by Tafeni English, director of the Civil
Rights Memorial Center, and the conversation with Olivares will be
moderated by Lecia Brooks, SPLC chief of staff and culture. The talk
will be livestreamed from 6:10 p.m. - 7 p.m. CDT.
