I came to Congress in 2019 to fight for El Paso, because El Paso is my home. It’s a crown jewel of the U.S.-Mexico border — one of the safest cities in America and a vibrant tapestry of people and cultures. As a third-generation El Pasoan and the first of two Latinas to represent Texas in Congress, lifting up others has been my life’s work. I know that Gabe feels the very same way about New Mexico.

As a first-generation American born and raised in the borderlands, Gabe has worked to make a difference in his community as a conservation advocate and public servant on the Las Cruces City Council.
