Hi John, this is Veronica Escobar, U.S. Representative of Texas’ 16th congressional district. I’m reaching out today because the most important election of our lifetimes is approaching just 12 days from now, and both Gabe and I face our final end-of-month fundraising deadlines this Monday, October 31.
I came to Congress in 2019 to fight for El Paso, because El Paso is my home. It’s a crown jewel of the U.S.-Mexico border — one of the safest cities in America and a vibrant tapestry of people and cultures. As a third-generation El Pasoan and the first of two Latinas to represent Texas in Congress, lifting up others has been my life’s work. I know that Gabe feels the very same way about New Mexico. As a first-generation American born and raised in the borderlands, Gabe has worked to make a difference in his community as a conservation advocate and public servant on the Las Cruces City Council. Now, he’s running to flip New Mexico’s 2nd congressional district, unseat a far-right MAGA extremist, and do even more to make a difference for working families. Gabe is ready to join me in Congress to stand up for a woman’s right to choose, ensure access to affordable and quality healthcare, establish humane immigration reform, take action on climate change, and create an economy that works for everyone.
