the dirtiest crude oil on the planet across America's breadbasket every
single day – while detonating a devastating carbon bomb in the midst of
our growing climate crisis.

The Keystone XL pipeline is rife with risks but zero rewards. It's just
the best known example of how the Trump administration is trying to expand
fossil fuel use regardless of the harm it would cause:

* Construction of this pipeline would be detrimental to our environment
and wildlife, to our global climate and drinking water supplies, and
to local communities and tribes
* Extraction and transportation of dirty tar sands oil destroys pristine
wilderness and threatens wildlife — including endangered species, such
as the whooping crane and other migratory birds
* Processing this dirty oil is terrible for the climate and human
health, and transporting it puts our communities at risk of oil spills
that are almost impossible to clean up

The Keystone XL pipeline is an environmental nightmare and the damage to
our land, water, and air would be staggering — but that doesn't matter to
Trump and his fossil fuel industry allies. The courts have been one of our
most powerful tools in stopping the Trump administration in its tracks,
and that's why we need your help to keep up the fight right now.
