Hey John, I’m Kathy Hochul, the first female Governor of New York.

Tina Kotek asked me to reach out today because we are both running against candidates that threaten to take our states backward by taking fundamental rights and freedoms away from people.

Oregon and New York have been beacons of progress in the country, making great strides in gun control, abortion rights, and climate change action.

Christine Drazan and my own MAGA Republican opponent, Lee Zeldin, have the same agenda to reverse all the progress we have worked so hard to create — banning abortion, loosening gun safety laws, and propagating hate-filled conspiracy-fueled lies.

They’re arguably two of the most dangerous candidates running for governor this year, and we need to do everything we can to stop them and protect fundamental rights in Oregon and New York.

Right now, we’re focused on connecting with voters and letting them know they have a choice this November: Elect a governor who will protect reproductive rights or elect one who will dismantle them.
