Hey John, I’m Kathy Hochul, the first female Governor of New York.
Tina Kotek asked me to reach out today because we are both running against candidates that threaten to take our states backward by taking fundamental rights and freedoms away from people.
Oregon and New York have been beacons of progress in the country, making great strides in gun control, abortion rights, and climate change action.
Christine Drazan and my own MAGA Republican opponent, Lee Zeldin, have the same agenda to reverse all the progress we have worked so hard to create — banning abortion, loosening gun safety laws, and propagating hate-filled conspiracy-fueled lies.
They’re arguably two of the most dangerous candidates running for governor this year, and we need to do everything we can to stop them and protect fundamental rights in Oregon and New York.
Election Day is in a matter of weeks — can you pitch in to support our campaigns by splitting a donation between my campaign and Tina’s right now?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be automatically split between Kathy Hochul and Tina Kotek and go through immediately:
MAGA Republicans are pulling out all the stops in hopes of defeating us and getting their far-right candidates elected. Dark money groups are pouring millions into these races, hoping to flip Oregon and New York from blue to red.
The attacks will only ramp up from here, but we can’t afford to let them stop our momentum — not when abortion access is on the ballot.
Right now, we’re focused on connecting with voters and letting them know they have a choice this November: Elect a governor who will protect reproductive rights or elect one who will dismantle them.
Amplifying this along with our unifying campaign messages is key and will require each and every one of us to step up and do our part. That’s why your support is so crucial in these final weeks leading up to Election Day.
So I’m asking: Will you split a donation between our campaigns today? Your support ensures Tina and I have the resources needed to scale up our voter outreach efforts, get our message out, and respond to whatever the other side throws our way:
Thank you for everything,
Kathy
