A great way to end the year

She was just a young teen when her cousin began “renting” her out to his friends — then strangers — anyone who could pay.



Her home life was tumultuous: raised by a single mother in extreme poverty. Maiya learned at a young age to go without. Without food, without adequate clothing, without the warmth of love, without hope.



Heartbreaking …



Then, Shared Hope came along.

We took her out of harm’s way.

We provided safe shelter at our Village of Hope, Asha Nepal.

We provided protection and love … food to eat at every meal — going to school regularly — playing soccer (and finding that she loves to bake in our kitchen!).

Her hope has been restored, by God’s grace and thanks to friends who give generously to make this happen for Maiya and so many like her … one life at a time.
