Her home life was tumultuous: raised by a single mother in extreme poverty. Maiya learned at a young age to go without. Without food, without adequate clothing, without the warmth of love, without hope.

• We provided safe shelter at our Village of Hope, Asha Nepal.
• We provided protection and love … food to eat at every meal — going to school regularly — playing soccer (and finding that she loves to bake in our kitchen!).
