Hello, John!
It's time for our economy to reward hard work, not just Ivy League credentials.
Blue-collar workers are the backbone of our economy and our infrastructure.
In Maryland, we introduced a first-in-the-nation initiative to help remove
barriers to careers in infrastructure. The "Jobs That Build" Initiative will
help Maryland keep pace with the demand for capital projects generated by
federal and state investments.
This $15 million investment will offer grants to workers to help them receive
quality training in construction. It will also ensure that more capital
projects are done on time and on budget.
This initiative will help workers by:
* Giving them sign-on and retention bonuses
* Training programs
* Housing or childcare expenses
I hope this can be an example for states across the country to follow because
requiring college degrees to achieve the American Dream is unsustainable and
unfair to the American worker.

Today, I ask that you help us continue advocating for you in your region. Your
financial investment helps us support common sense leaders and policies that
put people over party.

We believe in results over rhetoric. Results matter. Rhetoric divides.
Thank you,
Larry Hogan
Governor of Maryland
