Dear John
This morning we woke up to horrific reports that Burmese military jets bombed a music festival last night, killing at least sixty people.
One source told us it’s hard to identify how many people were killed because they were blown into small pieces.
After the attack, more than one hundred seriously injured people were blocked by the military from reaching hospitals.
The festival in Kachin State was to celebrate the founding of the political organisation, the Kachin Independence Organisation. Artists, musicians and families were there. The Burmese military sent military jets to bomb it.
We have emailed you before, asking to you email the British government calling on them to impose sanctions on supplying aviation fuel to Burma.
The reason is simple. If the jets can’t fly, they can’t bomb.
If we can stop or reduce the supply of aviation fuel to the Burmese military, we can help stop airstrikes like this.
If you haven’t already emailed the British government, you can do so here. ([link removed])

Wherever you are in the world, please join this campaign and help us save lives.
Email the British Foreign Secretary today, ([link removed]) calling on them to impose sanctions to help cut the supply of aviation fuel to the Burmese military.
Burma doesn’t manufacture aviation fuel. It depends on imports.
Help us stop the supply of aviation fuel and stop the bombing now.
Email the British Foreign Secretary now. ([link removed])
