This morning we woke up to horrific reports that Burmese military jets bombed a music festival last night, killing at least sixty people.
One source told us it’s hard to identify how many people were killed because they were blown into small pieces.
After the attack, more than one hundred seriously injured people were blocked by the military from reaching hospitals.
The festival in Kachin State was to celebrate the founding of the political organisation, the Kachin Independence Organisation. Artists, musicians and families were there. The Burmese military sent military jets to bomb it.
We have emailed you before, asking to you email the British government calling on them to impose sanctions on supplying aviation fuel to Burma.
The reason is simple. If the jets can’t fly, they can’t bomb.
If we can stop or reduce the supply of aviation fuel to the Burmese military, we can help stop airstrikes like this.
