Nate Silver just wrote that Democrats' chances of maintaining Senate control are slipping quickly – yet as *I write to you, we're still shy of our must-hit donation goal, and our next big deadline is at midnight. *

I need to explain to you why this cannot happen – and why I'm counting on your donation to get us back on track.

But before I do that, I want to express how deeply appreciative I am to have you on my grassroots team. Our fight to protect this seat and Democratic control of the Senate is powered by people like you, Friend. But the stakes for this midterm election are probably higher than any in modern history. Senate control is split right down the middle, which means there is no room for error. If we lose a single seat, Democratic control of the chamber will be gone. Mitch McConnell will once again call the shots.

My seat has become a GOP target. To make matters even worse, Donald Trump has even been fundraising with my opponent at Mar-a-Lago to try and boost her campaign.
