team,

These next 17 days before Election Day are going to be critical. And as we
look ahead and lay out our plan to take this movement all the way, we’d
like to take a moment to share exactly what we’re up against.

First things first: Peter’s opponent, a Trump-aligned Republican, doesn’t
represent Vermont values. Peter was in the Capitol on January 6, and his
opponent said he wished he was at the insurrection. Peter voted to protect
the right to choose, while his opponent wants to restrict reproductive
freedom.

And while Peter has been fighting to protect our planet and pass climate
action, his opponent supports increased oil drilling on public lands and
opposes a Green New Deal. It seems he is only interested in pushing the
agenda of Mitch McConnell and national Republicans, rather than the people
of Vermont.

[ [link removed] ]Team,
that’s why it’s so important we fight back. If you’re able, can you chip
in $5 or anything you can to help elect Peter, protect our Senate majority
and keep Vermont blue?

Peter often talks about how much he appreciates the natural beauty in
Vermont. It’s why he was proud to be one of the original co-sponsors of
the Green New Deal—to establish a national renewable energy standard,
protect our planet, and combat the climate crisis.

Since Day One he’s been a leading advocate for some of the most pressing
issues facing Vermonters—reproductive freedom, voting rights, climate
justice, lower prescription drug prices. With the Senate split 50-50 and
our entire progressive agenda at stake with this election, we can’t leave
anything up to chance: we need to come together and show we have what it
takes to win.

[ [link removed] ]Team, it’s
All Hands On Deck from now until Election Day. If you’re ready to preserve
our democracy and keep the Senate out of extremist hands, please pitch it
$5 or more right away.

We’re so grateful for your support.

Thanks so much,

Welch for Vermont
