With Election Day just around the corner, we’re bringing back Daily Docket! You can’t fight for the future of our democracy unless you know what’s happening, which is why over the next few weeks, we’ll send (almost) daily emails with the day’s voting rights news and courtroom updates that you need to know. Inboxes can get crowded as Election Day approaches, so don't worry — we'll keep these short and to the point.

Here are some updates from today.

On Sunday, Oct. 16, Republicans filed a petition in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court challenging the ability of counties to count undated and incorrectly dated mail-in ballots. [link removed]

On Friday, Oct. 14, Ohio Republicans — invoking the fringe independent state legislature theory — asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review the Ohio Supreme Court’s decision striking down the state’s congressional map. [link removed]

Republicans in multiple states are suing to undo reforms they originally supported. Scroll through our Twitter thread to learn more. [link removed]

Listen to our latest Twitter Spaces, where Marc and Paige cover mass voter challenges, Gov. Ron DeSantis’ (R) executive order changing election rules in three Florida counties and courtroom updates from North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Texas. [link removed]

Plus, check out our Q&A with U.S. Rep. Charlie Crist (D-Fla.) as he vies for a second shot at the governor’s seat. Can’t get enough news? [link removed] You can always find more details about these updates on our Alerts page. [link removed]

Love our emails, but don’t need daily updates? Opt out of Daily Docket here. [link removed]
