Prevention, Avoidance, and De-escalation

Women's self-defense focuses on the fight, but there are other factors
that should come first. A self-defense instructor shares her philosophy
about prevention, avoidance, and de-escalation.

The author of this piece is also the instructor of the course happening
in northern Virginia in September. (I'm going and hope you are too!)
Here's a glimpse inside the mind of this scholar and self-defense
professional.

A Women's Self-Defense Course:
Avoiding the Fight

There's a brand-new and very unique women's self-defense course going on
in Ashburn, Virginia (just outside Washington, DC) on Sept. 21. It
focuses not on fighting, but on avoiding the fight altogether which is
often the wisest move.  This class is suitable for people of all
shapes, sizes, and fitness levels because it activates your most
important weapon - your brain!

I will definitely be attending and I can't wait. I hope to see you
there! I'd LOVE to meet you!
