John-If you ask my family, friends, and team about me, one thing you’ll probably hear pretty quickly is that I’m a straight shooter. After years on the bench as a judge and the former Chief Justice of North Carolina, it’s just my nature.

That mindset is what I think you deserve from your next U.S. Senator, and it’s how we’ve tried to run this campaign.

From the start of this campaign, we’ve tried to be as transparent as possible because there would be no campaign without the support of folks like you. That’s why we don’t do the fake “triple matches” or scare tactics you probably see elsewhere.

I want you to know that when we ask, it’s because it’s important. It’s because I know that $5 and $10 at a time will make a difference.

And with our official FEC deadline coming up on the 17th, the reality is that we need to ask for a lot of help in the next few weeks. We’ve got our most ambitious goal ever, and the honest truth is we are significantly behind on our fundraising.
