Using Data to Help Build a More Equitable Society
<[link removed]>

without better and easier access to reliable data about economic well-being and
progress by race. To empower individuals and organizations working to build a
more equitable economy and society, Bloomberg Philanthropies' Greenwood
Initiative launchedthe Black Wealth Data Center, featuring the Racial Wealth
Equity Database <[link removed]>. Watch the launch video and

How We Can Save 50 million Lives by 2030
<[link removed]>

<[link removed]>
In a new report, Invisible Numbers: The true scale of noncommunicable diseases
<[link removed]>, the
World Health Organization challenged global leaders to take stronger action on
noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) like cancer, heart disease, lung disease, and
diabetes. To put renewed urgency behind the report's recommendations, WHO
Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus reappointed Mike as WHO Global
Ambassador for NCDs and Injuries, his third reappointment to the role. A strong
push and global coordination could save 50 million lives by 2030.

Connecting Communities with Public Art
<[link removed]>

<[link removed]>
Amsterdam's Nieuw-West neighborhood had "a reputation as 'the don't go to'
area," said Anna Stolyarova from the Street Art Museum Amsterdam. But through
our Asphalt Art project and the work of local partners, it's been transformed
from a drab, uninviting public area into a welcoming, colorful space. "This
Asphalt Art project can really help bring people together," said Deputy Mayor
Touria Meliani. "Connection is very important in art and that's what it does
here." Watch the video to see the before-and-after revitalization take place.
