In a new report, Invisible Numbers: The true scale of noncommunicable diseases, the World Health Organization challenged global leaders to take stronger action on noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) like cancer, heart disease, lung disease, and diabetes. To put renewed urgency behind the report's recommendations, WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus reappointed Mike as WHO Global Ambassador for NCDs and Injuries, his third reappointment to the role. A strong push and global coordination could save 50 million lives by 2030.

But through our Asphalt Art project and the work of local partners, it's been transformed from a drab, uninviting public area into a welcoming, colorful space.
