The bill passed 229-203, with nine Republicans voting in favor of the electoral changes.

The House's Presidential Election Reform Act is broadly similar to the Senate's Electoral Count Reform Act 2022, though it includes some differences, such as only requiring a fifth of House members to sign onto an objection, rather than a third.
