Lindsey Graham proposes new national abortion restrictions bill

Bad news for reproductive rights, JOHN.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham introduced a bill earlier this week to ban abortions nationwide after 15 weeks. Graham said, "If we take back the House and Senate, I can assure you we'll have a vote on [this bill]."

After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade earlier this year, millions of women across the country lost access to abortion care. If this legislation passes it would mean that regardless of whether you live in a red or blue state, your rights to reproductive care are at risk.

Throughout his time as State Treasurer, Seth has fought to defend reproductive rights. Seth worked to pass the Reproductive Privacy Act, which codified Roe into Rhode Island law. And he supports the Equal Access to Abortion Act because a women's right to reproductive health care should not depend on her health insurance. Now, Seth is ready to continue this important fight in Congress.

On the other hand, his Republican opponent, Allan Fung opposed codifying Roe v. Wade in Rhode Island and was endorsed by RI Right to Life, a group that wants to make abortion illegal. Fung is in lockstep with Congressional Republicans' extreme agenda, and we know he'll support this devastating abortion ban. We can't afford to send him to Congress.
