PROCUREMENT TOOLS
New manual details processes for agencies
New procurement tools and templates are now available on the Procurement Consulting Services [ [link removed] ] webpage.
Enterprise Services has added 17 new documents to the Procurement Process Desk Manual [ [link removed] ] which contains a collection of procurement tools and templates to help state agencies when performing their own competitive solicitations, from planning and strategizing through awarding a contract. ?
In addition, DES has updated several documents to align with current contracting laws, policies and best practices.
IT CABLING
Category 2 offers flexibility for equipment purchasers
A second category for Contract 05620 [ [link removed] ], established earlier this year, offers IT cabling purchasers access to fiber-optic and copper cable and related equipment for cabling and IT network physical infrastructure projects.
While Category 1 provides for all the parts and materials required for contract vendors to complete installations and servicing for customers, Category 2 allows customers to buy one-offs and equipment needed to perform repairs and installations themselves.
Category 2 customers can choose from a wide variety of products from the awarded contract vendors, Graybar and Presidio. For more information and the complete list of Category 2 products, visit the Contract Summary [ [link removed] ] page or contact Nick Carrillo <
