John – Please join me welcoming Greg Casar to the Brand New Congress slate!

Greg is the proud son of Mexican immigrants, a former labor organizer, and Austin City Councilmember running for the open seat in TX-35. After sailing to victory in the Democratic primary earlier this year, he is all but guaranteed to win this seat and become one of the most progressive new members of the House – certainly from Texas!
This is an exciting opportunity to cement progressive power in the heart of Texas. Will you welcome Greg to the BNC slate by splitting a contribution between BNC and his historic campaign today? [[link removed]]
Elect Greg! >> [[link removed]]
A member of both the Democratic and Working Families parties, Greg ALWAYS puts working people first.
Prior to his election to Austin City Council at age 25, Greg was a labor organizer for the Workers Defense Project, where he fought wage theft and won living wages and adequate breaks for construction workers, fast food workers, and other low-wage jobs.

As a Councilmember for the City of Austin, Greg led the fight for affordable housing, paid sick leave, living wages, tenants’ rights, immigrant rights, and criminal justice reform. His work led to a $15 minimum wage and paid sick leave, among many other milestones.
The paid sick leave policy Greg championed and helped pass in Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas was described by the Austin-American Statesman as “the most progressive labor policy for the entire state and possibly the American South.”
As a councilmember and community organizer, Greg has also been a stalwart ally for reproductive justice and LGBTQIA+ rights, and when he gets to Congress he is committed to fighting for federal protections for abortion rights, marriage equality, and trans rights.
W e need Greg in Congress fighting for all of us and proving that progressive values CAN win in red states. Will you help us elect Greg in November by splitting a contribution between BNC and his groundbreaking campaign now? [[link removed]]

The 35th district is a heavily gerrymandered seat stretching from Austin to San Antonio. The district lines cling to Interstate 35 like a rope tethering the two cities.

This majority-minority district where 75% of the population is non-White – overwhelmingly Latino – has never been represented by a person of color.
But we’re going to change that this year.

Brand New Congress is thrilled to partner with Greg and bring bold, progressive representation to Texas. Will you pitch in now and split a contribution between Greg’s historic campaign and BNC? [[link removed]]
From one Texan to another, I could not be more proud to welcome Greg to Brand New Congress!

Since 2016 BNC has led the way in advancing popular policies like Medicare for All and the Green New Deal and electing bold progressive fighters. We recruited and elected AOC in 2018 and Cori Bush in 2020. With seven BNC Reps currently in office [[link removed]] , we are growing progressive power in Congress.
This November we’re working to flip multiple red seats, fill open seats with bold progressives, and elect our first BNC Senator by defeating Rand Paul.
Pitch in today and join us as we take over Congress and return power to the people.
