As a Councilmember for the City of Austin, Greg led the fight for affordable housing, paid sick leave, living wages, tenants’ rights, immigrant rights, and criminal justice reform. His work led to a $15 minimum wage and paid sick leave, among many other milestones.
The paid sick leave policy Greg championed and helped pass in Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas was described by the Austin-American Statesman as “the most progressive labor policy for the entire state and possibly the American South.”
As a councilmember and community organizer, Greg has also been a stalwart ally for reproductive justice and LGBTQIA+ rights, and when he gets to Congress he is committed to fighting for federal protections for abortion rights, marriage equality, and trans rights.
We need Greg in Congress fighting for all of us and proving that progressive values CAN win in red states. Will you help us elect Greg in November by splitting a contribution between BNC and his groundbreaking campaign now?
