Dear friends and neighbors,

I hope you and your family had a nice Labor Day weekend. Many attended the beloved Minnesota State Fair, visited cabins, or spent time by the water before everything closed up for the fall. Kudos to all who prepared for the start of a new school year!

Last week, I spent the day volunteering at the House of Representatives booth at the State Fair. It was so nice to meet constituents at The Great Minnesota Get-Together!

MPPOA and MPFF Endorsement!

Public safety has always been a top priority of mine. It’s an issue I’ve tackled the past four years at the Capitol as a member of the Public Safety Committee, and locally as a board member of the Edina Crime Prevention Fund.

I have been a balanced voice working to solve the difficult problems that face our state. Minnesotans want safe cities for their families. To achieve more security, we must include all stakeholders in the conversation surrounding public safety. Ensuring our communities are safe also means investing in the people that serve and protect us. Solving problems takes courage and empathy – from establishing a fair and just legal system to investing in officer and firefighter wellness. I will continue to bring pragmatic leadership to complex public safety issues as your State Representative.

Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association (MPPOA), which represents over 10,000 officers throughout Minnesota.

Minnesota Professional Fire Fighters (MPFF), which represents thousands of firefighters, EMT's, paramedics, and dispatchers in 46 cities across Minnesota.

Happy first week of school to Edina students, who began last week, and Bloomington students, who began this week! Special appreciation to the parents, teachers, and education professionals who are hard at work making sure our young students are prepared for success this year.
