Economists have been talking a lot about ‘stagflation’ lately. This
phenomenon occurs when a high inflation rate is coupled with weak economic
growth—something the US hasn’t seen in almost half a century. [2]Why are
economists worried, and should the rest of us be? In collaboration with the
[3]Aspen Economic Strategy Group, the [4]McCloskey Speaker Series gathered
[5]a panel of experts to address concerns about stagflation and its causes,
signs of a future recession, and the effects of transitioning to a green
economy.
