Friend,

When I say were competing everywhere to put Democrats in the Senate, I mean everywhere -- including our newest battleground opportunity: Texas.

That's why I'm excited to tell you about MJ Hegar -- a former Air Force helicopter pilot who is taking on Senator John Cornyn next fall. Every year, we get a little bit closer to turning a Texas Senate seat blue -- is 2020 our year to get it done?

I think so -- if you do too, donate $5 or more to support MJ Hegar's campaign to unseat John Cornyn in Texas next year.

MJ is a decorated combat veteran and working mother. She has both the courage and independence to put Texas first and is running on the issues that matter most to Texans: making health care and prescription drugs more affordable, protecting coverage for Texans with pre-existing conditions, and taking action to address climate change.

And that's important because Texas's current senator, John Cornyn, is spending most of his time advocating not for his constituents, but for Donald Trump. Hes spending his time in the Senate parroting White House talking points -- he says any resistance to Trumps agenda is "all about politics, folks."

It seems like "politics" is all hes interested in -- that's why we need MJ in the Senate and why we need John Cornyn out.

Support MJ Hegar's campaign to be the next senator from Texas and get John Cornyn out -- donate $5 or more right now. ( [link removed]

Sincerely,

Chuck Schumer
