Dear John,

In a big win for Iowa, Senator Joni Ernst and I fought to secure renewal
of the federal biodiesel tax credit that will deliver much-needed
certainty for Iowa's economy through 2022.

For two years, biodiesel producers were in a world of hurt because
Washington twiddled its thumbs on tax policies critical to their growth.
Two biodiesel plants in Iowa closed and others were on the brink.

When our negotiations stalled and biodiesel needed a boost, I knew I
could count on Senator Ernst. So, we got to work. We called upon
President Trump and urged him to support our efforts on behalf of Iowa
farmers, workers and producers.

You can count on Senator Ernst and I to keep fighting together in the
United States Senate. We won't ever back down for Iowa agriculture, the
engine of economic growth and job creation for communities across the
state.
