Last week, we announced two brief maintenance events taking place early this month.

Due to some pre-maintenance work tasks that ran long, we were not able to start the work scheduled for last Saturday. We have rescheduled this work for Saturday, September 10th between 6 am and 8 am Eastern. While we expect the actual work period to be brief with no service interruption, please prepare for up to two hours of degraded system performance during this time.

As a reminder, a second maintenance event will be taking place Tuesday, September 13th between 6 am and 7 am Eastern. That work will not prevent access to your database, though it will temporarily affect certain digital tools and functions.

Here are some FAQs which might answer your general questions about the maintenance work on September 13th:

Will my database be unavailable?

No, this work will only temporarily affect certain digital tools, such as Targeted Email, Online Actions, and FastAction, with minimal affect to contributions.

What will happen if I have an Automation series or other Targeted Emails scheduled to go out during that time?

During the maintenance window, there will be brief (approximately 30 minutes at a time) periods where emails will not be sent. If your scheduled emails overlap with that timeframe, the emails will be sent immediately after.

Will my Online Actions Forms remain available? What will supporters experience when they visit those pages?

We expect short windows (up to approximately 5 minutes) where Online Actions forms are completely unavailable. Supporters will see an error page if they attempt to view one of your forms during these short windows.

Will recurring contributions be impacted?

There will be an hour delay in processing some recurring contributions, but they will resume at the conclusion of the work and subsequently be reflected in your database.

What about other jobs that happen during that window, such as custom imports/exports, Counts and Crosstabs?

These will run as normal, though jobs queued through the Jobs API will be delayed during the maintenance window.

What about API-related tasks that happen during this window?

These will run as normal, aside from the Jobs API delay described above.

What about Pipeline? Will that be disrupted?

Pipeline will run as normal.

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.

Yours,
