Politico: "Redistricting, abortion supercharge state Supreme Court races"

John – At the NDRC, we’re keenly aware of the importance of state supreme court races. Among other things, they play a critical role in whether voters get fair maps:

“Since the U.S. Supreme Court said in 2019 that the federal judiciary had no role in policing partisan gerrymandering, state Supreme Courts have increasingly weighed in – often throwing out Republican-drawn maps in states like Pennsylvania and North Carolina…”

You can see why the GOP would like to stack state courts the same way they stacked the U.S. Supreme Court – and why it’s so important to fight back. Frankly, we can’t let Republican plans to spend record amounts to take over state courts go unanswered. And we won’t. Here’s what NDRC president Kelly Burton told The Washington Post ↴
