John

I didn’t want to have to tell you this, but my team just finished crunching the numbers and unfortunately we missed our August End of Month fundraising goal.

This is not something that can happen this close to Election Day – and not filling that gap means we need to go back to the drawing board on our budget. We may have to cut TV ads or door knocking shifts – and that could be catastrophic since our opponent will have Republican dark money flooding in to help him out.

I’m only reaching out because of how serious this is: Can you rush a contribution right now to help us fill our $9,000 budget gap before tomorrow at midnight? ([link removed])

With only 67 days left until voters cast their ballots, every single thing we do from now through November 8 has major consequences.

If we have to pull ads down early or go up late, if we have to cut a field organizer, or shorten a volunteer shift or change the amount of texts our volunteers can send – all of that have real world consequences for who wins this race.

The margin of error is slim, and not following our campaign plan to a T could genuinely be the difference between winning and losing.

$9,000 may not seem like a lot – but it means that we aren’t able to carry out our strategy the way we intended to. Can you rush a contribution before it's too late so we can fill this gap? ([link removed])

Thanks for acting fast,

Francis
