In Kentucky, the Supreme Court upheld a law that requires doctors to show women an ultrasound and detailed description of the fetus before performing an abortion.

A legal battle is up in Louisiana, where threats of harassment and violence may leave women without access to abortion services. Due to terrorism against clinics from anti-abortion extremists, one of the last remaining abortion care providers may be forced to stop practicing. NOW is the principal in an amicus brief in the June Medical Services v. Gee case that will be heard on March 4, 2020 by the Supreme Court.

And in Missouri the state health director kept a spreadsheet tracking the menstrual cycles of women to determine who had undergone what he called "failed abortions."
