CALL YOUR COUNCLMEMBER NOW
SCOOTER BAN VOTE ON TODAY AT 2:00 PM
Make YOUR VOICE heard!

TODAY Monday, December 16 at 2:00 pm, the San Diego City Council will vote on whether to ban scooters on the beach boardwalks in Mission Beach, Pacific Beach and La Jolla. Your Council representative needs to hear from you before 12 noon on Monday, so they know how passionately you care about their vote! The vote is identified as the Prohibition of Motorized Vehicles on the Boardwalk in Mission Beach and Pacific Beach, Mission Bay Park Bayside Walk, and La Jolla Shores Boardwalk. ([link removed])

San Diegans deserve a safe, unobstructed and accessible public right of way. Electric scooters have posed challenge after challenge on our City sidewalks, boardwalks, and pedestrian walking areas. As time has progressed, we have witnessed the situation worsen. Emergency rooms and urgent care centers are filling up with severe injuries. City resources are being wasted to collect and store inappropriately parked devices, and we don’t even know if the fines cover our costs.

Enough is enough! Call your City Councilmember today!
