The *Minnesota Department of Commerce* is seeking to work with and facilitate connections with local and Tribal governments, utilities, businesses, communities and other entities interested in energy-related partnerships. Information included below can be new federal funding opportunities or ones not previously covered by this newsletters and will include opportunities from DOE and other federal agencies, covering both IIJA and non-IIJA offerings. In addition, webinars and resources that may be of interest to potential applicants are included.

Action requested: MN Grid Resilience Plan Survey extension

*The deadline for submitting comments and input on the MN Grid Resilience Plan survey has been* *extended until this Friday August 26th at 12 Noon*.? If you have not yet completed the survey, Commerce would like your input!? The survey is regarding the priorities for expenditure of Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) funds within Minnesota to enhance electric grid resilience and reliability. The Department of Commerce is asking for feedback on methods for grant award criteria. Survey links are below; coordinated responses within companies/organizations is appreciated:

The Environmental Protection Agency (with potential DOE funding support), has issued a Request for Applications (RFA) to for proposals to develop Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Centers (TCTAC) to support Executive Orders? 13985 [ [link removed] ] and 14008 [ [link removed] ].?The EJ TCTAC?s will provide technical assistance, training, and other eligible forms of assistance, resources, and support to ?program participants" such as local and tribal units of government; non-profit, philanthropic, and civic organizations; underserved communities and organizations; community-based and grass-roots organizations; amongst other eligible participants.? The EPA and the DOE have a special interest in supporting EJ TCTAC's which will support rural and remote areas, underserved communities, and those with the highest energy burden and capacity restraints.

Bipartisan Infrastructure Law ?How-To? Guidebook Available from White House.?

The White House released a?Bipartisan Infrastructure Law guidebook [ [link removed] ]?to help potential applicants plan and prepare to apply. This guidebook is a roadmap on upcoming funding opportunities, as well as an explanatory document on program-level direct federal spending.
