Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Centers Program (EJ TCTAC)

The Environmental Protection Agency (with potential DOE funding support), has issued a Request for Applications (RFA) to for proposals to develop Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Centers (TCTAC) to support Executive Orders? 13985 and 14008.?The EJ TCTAC?s will provide technical assistance, training, and other eligible forms of assistance, resources, and support to ?program participants" such as local and tribal units of government; non-profit, philanthropic, and civic organizations; underserved communities and organizations; community-based and grass-roots organizations; amongst other eligible participants.? The EPA and the DOE have a special interest in supporting EJ TCTAC's which will support rural and remote areas, underserved communities, and those with the highest energy burden and capacity restraints.
Applicants eligible to propose EJ TCTAC development projects are limited to:

- Public and private nonprofit institutions/organizations (includes institutions of higher education such as community colleges, and philanthropic organizations);

The Department of Energy?s (DOE?s) National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), on behalf of the Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response (CESER) Risk Management Tools and Technologies (RMT) program, is seeking applications under this funding opportunity?to advance cybersecurity tools and technologies specifically?designed to reduce cyber risks to energy delivery infrastructure.?The energy sector includes electricity and oil and?natural gas delivery systems. Proposals in response to this FOA need to?support and ensure a more secure, resilient, and reliable energy delivery system?through targeted improvements to one or more of the following energy sector?processes:? (1.) Electricity generation, transmission, or distribution (including renewables, energy management systems, and electric vehicles, etc.), and (2.) Request for Information: Barriers and Pathways to?Integrating Onsite Clean Energy Technologies in the Industrial Sector
The Advanced Manufacturing Office within the DOE Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) is seeking information to better understand the barriers to deploying onsite clean energy and storage technologies at industrial facilities and pathways to accelerated adoption of these technologies. Information is sought regarding the current state of knowledge and uptake of these technologies by industrial energy users, opportunities and barriers for technology integration at industrial facilities, existing technical assistance and resources available for technology evaluation and deployment, and pathways to accelerate the adoption of onsite clean energy technologies.
