Last Monday morning, Mike Waltz kicked off the day by joining The National
Desk, saying:
"Americans are still left behind. They're still there. Many of them can't
leave because they can't get their family members out. Our allies, by the tens
of thousands that we left behind, are being hunted down by the Taliban as we
speak. Girls can't go to school, women can't leave their home much less have a
job," said congressman and former U.S. Army Green Beret Rep. Michael Waltz, R
-Fla. "Al-Qaeda is back just like it was pre-2001, and then add on top of that
the absolute devastation to American credibility around the world."

to discuss his thoughts on the FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago, saying:
"As Americans, there’s nothing we hate more than unequal treatment under the
law. I’ve served all over the world in places where regimes put their political
opponents in prison, and the result is almost always tyranny and bloodshed.
Where that is actually exactly what people expect.
I’m hearing from people across the spectrum, even from people who don’t like
President Trump, who know at their core that this is wrong.House GOP Leader
Kevin McCarthy has told Merrick Garland to clear his schedule and preserve all
documents. And you can bet we are going to get to the bottom of this - but we
have to take back Congress FIRST."
