In the News WALTZ ON ONE YEAR SINCE THE AFGHANISTAN WITHDRAWL Last Monday morning, Mike Waltz kicked off the day by joining The National Desk, saying: "Americans are still left behind. They're still there. Many of them can't leave because they can't get their family members out. Our allies, by the tens of thousands that we left behind, are being hunted down by the Taliban as we speak. Girls can't go to school, women can't leave their home much less have a job," said congressman and former U.S. Army Green Beret Rep. Michael Waltz, R -Fla. "Al-Qaeda is back just like it was pre-2001, and then add on top of that the absolute devastation to American credibility around the world." |

WALTZ ON MAR-A-LAGO Mike joined Fox News to discuss his thoughts on the FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago, saying: "As Americans, there’s nothing we hate more than unequal treatment under the law. I’ve served all over the world in places where regimes put their political opponents in prison, and the result is almost always tyranny and bloodshed. Where that is actually exactly what people expect.
I’m hearing from people across the spectrum, even from people who don’t like President Trump, who know at their core that this is wrong.House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy has told Merrick Garland to clear his schedule and preserve all documents. And you can bet we are going to get to the bottom of this - but we have to take back Congress FIRST." |

Then last Tuesday, Mike Waltz joined the Ruthless Podcast to further discuss the Afghanistan withdrawal: "You see it in how [the Biden admin] is dealing with Taiwan. If we just concede enough, if we just give enough, if we just sit at the table with a lot of goodies, then our adversaries will play nice too. And they just smell a weakness all over this White House." |

To finish off the day, Mike was on Fox News' The Faulkner Focus to talk about his two new ads he released this week highlighting the anniversary of the fall of Afghanistan. "It’s been a year since the Biden Administration‘s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan and not one senior administration official has resigned or been fired. It’s imperative we get accountability for the 13 Gold Star families and the Americans and allies we left behind terrorist lines. I hope these ads will serve as a reminder that we need to get to the bottom of this debacle" |
