Happy Poll Worker Recruitment Day!

A few years ago, before I joined Stand Up America, I served as a poll worker. I saw for myself how important it is to add a friendly face and a personal touch to the voting process, and it was one of the many things that inspired me to work to protect our democracy. 

Poll workers are our friends, neighbors, and other familiar faces from your community. When I was a poll worker, I helped long lines move faster, answered urgent voting questions, and registered new voters. 

Now, it’s your turn to pitch in.

We’re facing poll worker shortages across the country, right when we need them the most. That’s why we’re partnering with Power the Polls, a nationwide initiative to make sure there are enough poll workers to get everyone’s in-person ballot cast quickly, efficiently, and safely.
