UPDATE: Haley's bill passed the House and Senate // Tell Trump to sign the Building Blocks of STEM Act!

I couldn't wait to share this piece of news with you: My first bill has passed both the House and the Senate!

The Building Blocks of STEM Act invests in early childhood STEM programs, tears down barriers that prevent young women from pursuing a career in STEM industries, and expands opportunities for children to engage in computer science learning.

This team's hard work and continued support made this possible -- and now I need YOUR help to get this bill signed into law!

We don't know if Trump will support this bill -- his Education Secretary, Betsy DeVos, has repeatedly tried to cut funding for STEM programs -- especially those for children.

So my team is collecting 5,000 petition signatures urging Donald Trump to sign this game-changing legislation. Can I count on you to add your name? >>

Last year, it was estimated that there were 2,400,000 unfilled jobs in STEM in the United States.

Those are good-paying jobs with benefits waiting for young kids and future leaders to take. But we have to develop that talent -- and we have to remove obstacles that stop girls and children from disadvantaged backgrounds from pursuing those opportunities.

Let's get the Building Blocks of STEM Act signed into law and empower the next generation of STEM leaders. Sign on to tell Trump you want to see this bill signed into law! >>
