On Sunday, the U.S. Senate officially passed the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, a bill that will combat the climate crisis, lower health care costs, and make corporations pay their fair share.
With Vice President Kamala Harris’ tie-breaking vote, this legislation passed by a margin of 51-50. Every single Senate Republican voted against the bill, siding with corporate interests. Thanks to the work from activists like you, Senate Democrats are making history and delivering for working families and younger generations.
Here’s what the Inflation Reduction Act will do once signed into law:
