** Hello John!
------------------------------------------------------------
August is well and truly in motion đź’¨
Here at CC, we just got back from a full week off that we spent resting, recharging, and doing things that we love outside of work. We are back with renewed zeal and excitement for all the amazing things CC has in the pipeline for the rest of the year.
This month marks the second anniversary of CEO Catherine Stihler at Creative Commons. To celebrate the occasion, Catherine penned a reflection on Better Sharing and CC's challenges and opportunities (available on the CC blog ([link removed]) ). Here is a short excerpt:

------------------------------------------------------------
As part of our key strategic goal of Better Sharing, we've taken a firm stance against mandatory content filtering on the internet, as the effects would be devastating to free speech, as well as the sharing of culture and knowledge.
